In the Indian car market, the American automaker has finally launched Ford Aspire Facelift this year. This awesome car model comes in two forms of petrol and diesel. The new Aspire’s price is around Rs 5.55 lakh-Rs 8.49 lakh. The production of new Ford Aspire Facelift is done at Sanand plant of the company in Gujarat. Also, the all-new sedan has made the dealerships for previews of the customer and bookings. In the category of sub-4 metre sedan, the Ford Aspire had outreach its rivals too, which are Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Volkswagen Ameo, Honda Amaze, and Hyundai Xcent.

As you know, the Aspire was firstly introduced in 2015 as the name Ford Figo Aspire and due to some downfalls, the company removed the Figo tag from its name last year. For the year 2018 model, there have been little changes made in the design and upgradation of the features have been made. The new Ford Aspire has been mechanized with an 8-inch large floating touchscreen display and SYNC3 infotainment system. This system can perform with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Though, under the hood of Ford Aspire, major changes have been made. The 2018 Ford Aspire Facelift has an all-new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that powers the all-new Freestyle also. The oil burner is, as usual, the previous 1.5-litre TDCI unit. Options of Transmission consist of a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter which is automatic, from the EcoSport.

New Ford Aspire Facelift- Price (In India)

The new Ford Aspire comes with the categories of five trim levels which includes Trend, Titanium, Ambiente, Titanium+ and Trend+. While the price range of the petrol begins with Rs. 5.5 lakh & ends with Rs 7.24 lakh and the price range of the diesel model is between Rs 6.45 lakh and Rs 8.14 lakh. The top-spec i.e. Titanium 1.5L variant price is Rs 8.49 lakh. Ford had given a statement that the service cost of Aspire is the lowest in its class which of 45 paise per km for diesel and 38 paise per km for petrol.

New Ford Aspire Facelift- Specifications

As you have read previously that the new Ford Aspire Facelift has been upgraded its engine setup with an all-new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine. This engine of dragon family powers the Freestyle also and it offers the top-in-class outputs of power and torque i.e. 95bhp and 115Nm respectively. With all these figures, it has become better than the Maruti’s 1.2-litre K-Series and Honda’s 1.2-litre i-VTEC engines of petrol. The diesel version is of 1.5-litre TDCi unit just like the old facelift model. Top power can be made by the oil burner of 215Nm of torque between 1,750rpm to 3,000rpm and 99bhp at 3,750rpm.

For the choices of transmission, the Aspire sedan comes with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter which is automatic. The automatic gearbox is provided only on the diesel version. If we talk about the suspension mechanism, there are no such changes made in it. The latest Ford Aspire features the anti-roll bar up front, the Independent McPherson strut with coil spring, semi-independent twist beam with twin gas, and oil filled shock absorbers rear suspension units, like before.

The new Ford Aspire Facelift is said to have higher fuel efficiency than the old model. The petrol model makes a comeback with an ARAI certified fuel economy of 20.4kmpl and the oil burner offers 26.1kmpl.

The dimensions of the new Ford Aspire are of the measurement of 3,995mm in length, 1,695mm in width and 1,525mm in height. The length, width and height come with a wheelbase of 2,491mm. Same as the old model, it offers a ground clearance of 174mm. The compact sedan provides a luggage carrying capacity of 359-litres like previously, which can accommodate around 4 suitcases.

The all-new Ford Aspire Facelift model has gone through a few stunning updates. If we talk about the exterior of the car, major changes have been made in it. The car is mechanized with a new mesh grille of a hexagonal shape in place of the chrome Aston Martin esque unit. The front bumper has been revamped too and the bottom air dam is now a little bit narrower than before. The headlamps of the car have also got a new style. The car comes with the all-new design alloy wheels and ORVMs but the side profile of the Ford Aspire is as usual. The all-new car has the revamped bumper and the boot lid at its rear end.

Despite the exterior, the new Ford Aspire Facelift’s cabin has been modified comprehensively. It comes with a foldable centre armrest, dual-tone beige and black interior with restyled front seats. The dashboard has been revamped with an all-new floating touchscreen display of 8-inch. The display has a new SYNC3 infotainment system, which can be performed with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The sedan also has new AC vents, new start-stop button, illuminated USB sockets, and automatic climate control.

The all-new Ford Aspire has safety features of engine immobilizer, rear seat belts (three points outer, lap middle) as standard safety fitments, dual airbags (driver and passenger), front three-point seat belts and keyless entry. The higher trims offer features of EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution), Ford MyKey, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), six airbags, Emergency assistance, driver seat belt reminder, height adjustable front seat belts, Program of Electronic stability, Hill Launch Assist, and traction control system.
